Album Cover Making Progress...

For our album cover we had to randomise three different things; the title, the artist name and the album cover image.

First thing I randomised was my album name, and by choosing the last 4 words of the quote it came out as 'peace is the measure'. Then I got 'Banankoro' as the album 'artist', and finally on Flickr my picture came out as this:

I decided for my album cover I wanted the image to be in black and white, apart from the posters which I wanted to stand out. So I turned it black and white with the colour mixer and then using the paint tool, with black as the colour selected, I went back over the posters, making them colourful again.

I then cropped my image to the right size, which is 800 pixels by 800 pixels.

Next I went on Dafont and chose a font that I thought was appropriate. I chose Riot! because it looks sort of rough, and contrast the album name, but goes well with the image which is of a protest.

I then made the black red instead, and bolded the text before placing them onto the album cover. I chose that colour because it would show up boldly on the black and white image, and stand out better than if it was a dark colour or a light colour.

I decided to place the album title on the people standing in the background, and made it curve ever so slightly to follow the crowd. I put the artist name in the bottom left hand corner. I added noise to both of them and made them 'vivid light' so that the image wasn't completely blocked from coming through the font.
